Housing Options Officer – Temporary (3 Months)
📍 Location: Crawley
💰 Rate: £24.87 LTD / £20 PAYE per hour
📅 Contract: Temporary – 3 Months
Are you an experienced Housing Options Officer looking for your next role? We are recruiting for a temporary position where you’ll be working to support individuals with their housing needs, ensuring they receive appropriate advice and assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Providing housing advice and assessing applications in line with housing legislation
✅ Preventing homelessness by exploring sustainable housing solutions
✅ Managing a caseload of applicants, offering tailored support and guidance
✅ Liaising with external agencies, landlords, and support services to secure accommodation options
✅ Conducting assessments and making decisions in line with relevant policies and procedures
About You:
🔹 Experience in housing options, homelessness prevention, or a similar role
🔹 Strong knowledge of housing legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
🔹 Ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure
🔹 Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
🔹 Experience working with vulnerable individuals and providing client-centred support
