Join a dynamic team in Enfield to provide vital support and guidance to individuals experiencing homelessness, ensuring they access sustainable housing solutions and essential services.

THE ROLE
As a Sustainable Housing Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting individuals in temporary accommodation, helping them transition into long-term housing.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of housing needs and create tailored support plans.
  • Provide advice and assistance on housing options, tenancy sustainment, and benefits.
  • Work closely with external agencies, landlords, and housing providers.
  • Assist with resettlement and tenancy readiness, ensuring clients can maintain their accommodation.
  • Monitor and review support plans, adapting them based on client progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes in compliance with local authority policies.
  • Respond to housing-related queries and provide crisis intervention when necessary.


THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within homelessness or housing support.

  • Knowledge of housing legislation, homelessness prevention, and tenancy sustainment.
  • Experience conducting housing assessments and developing personalised support plans.
  • Ability to work with vulnerable individuals, including those with complex needs.
  • Strong partnership working skills to liaise with housing providers and support services.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and case management abilities.



THE CONTRACT

  • 40 hours per week, 35 hours paid, 5 hours unpaid lunch.
  • Rota basis between the hours of 8 AM - 8 PM, including some weekend work.
  • 3-month contract, potential temp-to-perm opportunity.
  • The pay for the role is £22.39 per hour LTD. The PAYE equivalent is £19.09 per hour, inclusive of holiday.
