Solutions Architect – Digital & Data Directorate Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for a Solutions Architect to join a UK Police Force within the Digital & Data Directorate. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT professional to play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing technical solutions that support law enforcement operations.

Rate: £30.40 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the technical design and architecture authority, ensuring solutions align with organisational needs.
Lead the design, development, and integration of applications, systems, and IT infrastructures.
Work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and IT teams to analyse requirements and implement solutions.
Ensure security, scalability, and efficiency across IT systems.
Provide technical leadership, guiding teams through the solution development lifecycle.
Support the evaluation and introduction of new technologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and governance frameworks.

Essential Requirements:

Degree or equivalent professional experience in IT architecture or software development.
Demonstrable experience as a Solutions Architect or similar technical role for at least 3 years.
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), and cybersecurity.
Experience in systems integration, requirement analysis, and project management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Microsoft certification and/or TOGAF (desirable).
