Older Prisoner Co-Ordinator

Service Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an Older Prisoner Co-ordinator to join our team at HMP Lowdham Grange, Nottinghamshire. This is a unique and meaningful role supporting older individuals in custody – helping them lead healthier, more dignified, and independent lives.

Salary: £26,578
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
 

About the Role:
In this full-time position, you’ll be responsible for delivering a range of tailored support services and purposeful activities for older prisoners. You’ll work closely with prison staff, healthcare professionals, probation services, and third-sector organisations to ensure older residents receive the care, respect, and opportunities they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver person-centred activities that support wellbeing and promote independence

  • Offer advice and guidance tailored to individual needs

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery

  • Contribute to innovative service development and positive change within the prison environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with older people or within criminal justice, social care, or voluntary sectors

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Confident in writing reports and using IT systems

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (teaching/training qualifications desirable or willingness to work towards)

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred

  • Passionate, resilient, and outcome-focused with a team-oriented attitude
