Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
About the Role:
In this full-time position, you’ll be responsible for delivering a range of tailored support services and purposeful activities for older prisoners. You’ll work closely with prison staff, healthcare professionals, probation services, and third-sector organisations to ensure older residents receive the care, respect, and opportunities they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver person-centred activities that support wellbeing and promote independence
- Offer advice and guidance tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding and risk management procedures are followed
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery
- Contribute to innovative service development and positive change within the prison environment
- Experience working with older people or within criminal justice, social care, or voluntary sectors
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident in writing reports and using IT systems
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (teaching/training qualifications desirable or willingness to work towards)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
