Senior Business Support Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Business Support Officer to join a well-established team at Liverpool City Council's Quality Assurance Safeguarding Unit. This hybrid role involves a significant focus on minute-taking for critical safeguarding meetings, including Child Protection Conferences, Looked After Children Reviews, and Specialist Meetings.   • £15.99 LTD per hour inclusive of holiday pay
  • 2 month initial contract with possibility of extension after this

Responsibilities:

  • Provide budgetary, statistical, and financial information to managers, ensuring compliance with financial protocols.
  • Assist with cash handling, bank accounts, and financial systems, including processing pay runs and reports.
  • Liaise with Exchequer Management, social workers, and team leaders to adhere to protocols and audit requirements.
  • Organise and attend Panels, taking detailed and accurate minutes, and ensuring decisions are distributed in line with data protection guidelines.
  • Collate and distribute reports within agreed timescales, supporting quality assurance processes.
  • Provide support and guidance on Children's systems, such as Liquid Logic and Controcc.
  • Ensure work is completed to high standards within deadlines, supporting the team leader with performance management.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with relevant data protection legislation.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and health & safety in all aspects of work.

Requirements:

  • Essential:

    • 5 GCSEs (A*-C, 9-4) or NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent).
    • Experience of taking accurate minutes in a professional setting.
    • Experience producing financial or data reports and arranging meetings, including agendas and minutes.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage workloads.
  • Desirable:

    • Experience working with IT systems like i-Casework, Liquid Logic, or Controcc.
    • Experience working with financial systems such as SAP.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
