Join Our Team as a Practice Development Officer
We are seeking an experienced and registered Children’s Social Worker to join our Workforce Development Team in a pivotal role. As a Practice Development Officer, you will play an essential part in supporting and mentoring our learners, delivering high-quality training, and promoting good practice throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver bespoke training programmes for:
- Newly Qualified Social Workers
- ASYE programme participants
- Social Work Apprenticeships
- Step-Up to Social Work candidates
- Design and lead comprehensive training sessions, leveraging your expertise in:
- Children’s legislation
- Case management
- Policies, frameworks, and procedures
- Supervise and mentor members of the social care workforce
- Support and collaborate with Practice Educators
- Promote and advocate for best practice across the organisation
- Contribute to quality assurance by participating in audits and improvement strategies
- Work collaboratively to implement continuous professional development strategies for our social care workforce
- Registered Children’s Social Worker (Social Work England)
- Experience in a Practice Development Officer role or similar
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality training
- Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks
- Competitive rate: £42 per hour
