Family Support Worker
Job Description
Worcestershire County Council are seeking a Family Support Worker (Scale 6) to join their Homeless Intervention Team. The team works with 16 and 17 year old young people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless within the next 56 days. As a Family Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting young people to remain at or return home to live with their families where it is safe for them to do so. Where young people are unable to remain living at home, you will explore with them and their families their accommodation options and undertake assessments to identify areas where they may require support to develop their independent living skills to ensure a positive move on into appropriate accommodation.

- Work collaboratively with partner agencies
Qualifications
- Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
- Experience of working with young people and their families
- Experience of working with homeless young people is desirable
- Experience of working with young people with additional vulnerabilities is desirable
