Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families? We’re seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team in Knowsley. This exciting role is focused on providing Family Time Support for supervised contact, ensuring safe, supportive, and meaningful interactions between children and their families.
Position Overview:
As a Family Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in facilitating family time sessions, supporting children and their families to build and strengthen relationships in a structured and safe environment. This role offers an incredible opportunity to work directly with children and families in need, making a tangible impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Facilitate Family Time Sessions: Ensure a safe and supportive environment during supervised contact between children and their families.
  • Support Families: Provide guidance and support to families, helping them build positive and healthy relationships while maintaining a focus on safety and well-being.
  • Detailed Reporting: Accurately document and provide detailed reports on the outcomes and dynamics of each supervised contact session.
  • Collaborative Working: Work closely with social workers, children, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Safeguarding: Uphold the highest safeguarding standards to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families at all times.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
🔹 Experience: Proven experience working with children and families, ideally in a support or social care role.
🔹 Communication & Observation Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to observe and accurately assess family dynamics.
🔹 Understanding of Safeguarding: A clear understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures, ensuring the safety of vulnerable children.
🔹 Flexibility & Adaptability: The ability to work flexibly to meet the varying needs of families and the demands of the role.
