Youth Justice Practitioner

Lewis Ashcroft and Service Care Solutions are proud to be assisting Suffolk County Council in recruiting for the role of Youth Justice Service Practitioner.

Location/Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid working: Minimum two days in the office each week (Constantine House, Ipswich).

Contract Details:

  • Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Rate: £17.29ph - £20.48ph

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with children, young people, and families to deliver intervention programmes that prevent offending and anti-social behaviour.
  • Provide Restorative Justice interventions, including working with victims of youth offending.
  • Use Suffolk Signs of Safety principles to assess, plan, and review cases.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams and provide court duty cover when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding procedures.

About You:

  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in Youth Justice or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with young people and their families.
  • Knowledge of restorative justice, child development, and safeguarding frameworks.
  • Ability to manage cases and work effectively as part of a multi-agency team.
