35 hours, 9-5 but must be flexible around these times
Hybrid (Approx 50% at home)

Are you an experienced Supported Housing Officer with a passion for supporting vulnerable adults? Join a leading social justice charity as a Supported Housing Officer and make a difference across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. Please note, the role is a Home based role with occasional visits to offices and properties in both East Mids and South Yorkshire. You'll be looking after 150-250 units, a mix of shared & self-contained accommodation.

THE ROLE
As a Supported Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive housing management services to vulnerable residents. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and managing rent accounts, including arrears recovery.
  • Providing support and advice on tenancy-related matters, including ASB.
  • Preparing legal documentation and representing the organisation in court.
  • Ensuring properties meet safety and quality standards.
  • Conducting property visits and co-producing action plans.
  • Supporting teams with tenancy management and property standards.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues.

THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in housing management, with a strong understanding of income recovery and legal processes. You should also have:

  • Experience in tenancy enforcement and managing anti-social behaviour.
  • Knowledge of housing law and welfare benefits, particularly Housing Benefit.
  • A proven track record in income collection and arrears minimisation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in multi-agency partnership working.
