Service Care Solutions are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Minute Taker to support strategy meetings within Sefton Council's Children's Services Team. This role is essential in capturing accurate records of discussions that may be used in legal proceedings.
This is a high-demand role, requiring attendance at multiple meetings throughout the working day. Alongside minute-taking, there will be some general administrative duties, such as answering phone calls.
- 36 hours per week
- 3 month initial contract with possibility of extension after this
Responsibilities:
Accurately record and produce formal minutes for multiple daily strategy meetings.
Ensure that minutes are clear, detailed, and meet required legal standards for potential court use.
Work efficiently in a high-pressure environment with a quick turnaround time for documentation.
Provide light administrative support, including answering telephone calls and handling general office tasks.
Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive child protection information.
Liaise with professionals across Social Care and external organisations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in minute-taking, preferably in a legal, social care, or business support setting.
Excellent typing speed (minimum 60 words per minute) and strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other relevant office software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and a professional, team-oriented approach.
Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Previous experience working within social care or legal settings (desirable but not essential).
