Job Title: SEO Manager
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits)
Hours: Full-Time
Type: Permanent
Location: Cardiff, CF10 (Onsite at Hodge House)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Flexible Working Hours between 06:00am & 08:00pm (no core hours)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly SEO performance, delivering commercially focused reports with actionable insights.
  • Lead and mentor a team of two SEO Specialists and a Digital PR Executive to achieve lead generation and revenue goals.
  • Analyse search trends and prioritise high-converting keyword strategies to drive business value.
  • Develop confident, proactive responses to algorithm updates to protect rankings and seize new opportunities.
  • Identify and escalate technical SEO issues, collaborating with developers to deliver impactful fixes.
  • Oversee Core Web Vitals, on-page SEO optimisation, and site health audits.
  • Partner closely with the SEO Content Manager to align content strategies with SEO goals.
  • Lead and support digital PR and backlink campaigns to build domain authority and quality traffic.
  • Champion SEO best practices across the business through early project involvement and internal training.
  • Drive a culture of commercial focus, ensuring all SEO activities directly support business growth.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Advanced expertise in SEO, including on-page, off-page, and technical optimisation.
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring a small SEO team with clear performance improvements.
  • Strong proficiency in GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, Looker Studio, and Screaming Frog.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a deadline-focused mindset.
  • Proactive self-starter with a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Highly effective verbal and written communicator, adept at engaging technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a collaborative spirit and adaptability to change (e.g., algorithm updates).
  • A passionate advocate for inclusion, diversity, and ethical standards in all activities.
