SEN Caseworker
Hampshire County Council are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Caseworker to join their team.
Duration: Currently contracted until December with the likelihood of being extended
Hours: Full time
Rate: £300 umbrella a day
Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the EHC needs assessment process for a set locality
- The key contact and responsible for carrying out day to day casework, ensuring quality, consistency and the effective prioritisation of tasks for a set number of cases within a locality
- Ensure that all processes and decisions are accurately recorded on the SEN data base and the casework file and that all relevant parties are informed
- Ensure that all children have their EHC plans reviewed annually and that, where required, the transition plans are completed
- Provide advice and support to parents, schools and professionals in accordance with the Education Act 1996, regulations, the SEN code of Practice and Hampshire County Council policies and procedures
Requirements:
- 250+ caseload experience
- Experience in tribunals and preparing packs etc.
- Experience carrying out 20 week assessment work
