Job Title: Children’s Residential Registered Manager
Location: South Leeds
Contract: Full-Time
Salary: £49,764 per annum
Position Type: Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children’s Residential Registered Manager to oversee a four-bedded mainstream children’s home in South Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and dedicated professional to lead a skilled team and provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people in care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a four-bedded mainstream children’s home in South Leeds, ensuring that it runs smoothly and in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Lead and develop a staff team of 11, including a Deputy Manager and Senior Practitioner, providing guidance, training, and support to enable the team to deliver high-quality care to young people.
  • Ensure the home maintains its high standards by meeting Ofsted requirements, with the current rating of Good.
  • Provide effective line management and support from a Service Delivery Management team, which consists of four experienced professionals who provide guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Registered Managers within the wider Leeds network, benefiting from the support of 12 other registered managers for shared learning and best practice.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in managing or working in a children’s residential home with a proven ability to lead and support staff in a challenging and rewarding environment.
  • Registered Manager qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare).
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team to deliver exceptional care.
  • A deep understanding of Ofsted regulations and the ability to maintain and improve standards in line with these requirements.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people, with the ability to advocate for their needs and ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external partners and other professionals to support the young people in the home.
