Job Title: Customer Service Works Planner
Location: RG1
Salary: £14.93 per hour
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, shifts between 08:00–16:00 and 09:00–17:00
Duration: 3 months temp ongoing

About the Role:
Our Maintenance Team is looking for an enthusiastic and organized Customer Service Works Planner to join our busy Maintenance Office. You’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient service delivery and excellent customer care for our tenants and internal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage repair enquiries and process work requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Update and maintain database records accurately.
  • Produce documents, standard letters, and process work tickets for the Housing Repairs and Maintenance Service.
  • Provide technical administrative support to all areas of the maintenance team.
Requirements:

  • Proven customer service experience, ideally within a call centre or high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills for managing inquiries efficiently.
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks, including document production and database maintenance.

Join our dynamic Maintenance Team as a Repairs Scheduler / Customer Service Advisor and play a key role in providing efficient, high-quality service to tenants of Reading Borough Council and internal clients. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, versatile individual with strong customer service skills to ensure timely and effective scheduling, planning, and front-line support.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for repair enquiries, ensuring smooth communication and prompt processing of work requests.
  • Efficiently manage and update database records, maintain accurate work tickets, and generate documents and standard letters as required.
  • Work closely with the Housing Repairs and Maintenance Service team to deliver seamless operational support.
  • Provide technical administrative support, maintaining high standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
About You:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy work setting.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, planning, or customer service roles is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency with database management and administrative support.
