The Repairs and Investment team within the Housing and Safer Communities directorate is currently undergoing a major transformation programme. This includes a complete overhaul of the resident journey, as well as updated policies, processes, and systems—all designed to enable our staff to deliver an outstanding, resident-focused service.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Manager to join our team and play a key role in this transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with management, subject matter experts, digital teams, ICT, and project stakeholders to upskill our workforce and support our service improvement goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, high-impact training programmes for colleagues across the Repairs and Investment department.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and project teams to align training with transformation objectives.
- Create effective, tailored training materials for diverse learning needs.
- Manage a small training team and coordinate delivery across various departments.
- Engage directly with hundreds of staff members each year to support their professional development.
- Promote the use of digital tools and technology to improve service delivery and enhance learning.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programmes, ideally within housing, local government, or a similar public service.
- Passionate about staff development and customer-focused service delivery.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and diverse delivery methods.
- Confident working with IT systems and supporting digital transformation.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
