PSI Gambling Practitioner

Service Care Solutions are working with a Leading Gambling Support Charity to find great candidates to join their Service. 

This Gambling Support Charity has been running for a number of years and has helped support people with addictions, this including gambling addictions. They are looking for candidates who can adhere to the values. These values being Respect, Quality, Integrity, Partnership, Empowerment and Commitment. 

As a PSI Gambling Practitioner it will be your role to provide advice and support to clients using the service and help them along their Recovery Journey


£17219 per annum (pro rata of £28699 per annum)
21 Hours per week 

Main responsibilities and duties of a PSI Gambling Practitioner 

Working in a way that recognises and values diversity and with an understanding of the functional model of Problem Gambling, the model of change, CBT and a commitment to Recovery, the practitioner will:
  • Support individuals to access the service through completion of referrals and triages.
  • Provide advice, screening, brief and comprehensive assessments with individual, families or couples.
  • Provider longer-term structured interventions.
  • Develop a recovery orientated care plan and ensure it is implemented and reviewed with the service user to monitor outcomes.
  • Provide case management and ensure integrated pathways are developed to meet service user need.
  • Provide group programmes and support groups for service users, their friends and family.
The Perfect Candidate for the Gambling Engagement Practitioner role will have the following experience
  • Working in a multi disciplinary setting / across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Working with vulnerable people
  • Experience of providing 1 – 1 interventions 
  • Ideally, experience of working with those affected by Gambling Harms or any addiction.

Essential Criteria 

Candidates must hold a minimum level 4 qualification in a relevant field i.e. health and social care, social work, education, community, mental health, health promotion or equivalent
and be capable of independent travel across the Tyne and Wear region
.
