Job Description
Service Care Solutions is recruiting for an Oracle Financial Systems Specialist to join a local authority in London on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Oracle expert with a proven track record in data migration, archiving, SQL report writing, procurement management chain, and role configuration within Oracle Financials. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising financial processes, enhancing system functionality, and ensuring compliance within a public sector environment. Main responsibilities
- Lead the migration of financial data, ensuring data integrity and security, while implementing effective archiving strategies.
- Develop and maintain SQL-based reports, extracting and presenting financial data to support decision-making.
- Oversee and optimise the procurement processes within Oracle Financials, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Configure and manage user roles, defining inherited privileges to maintain secure and structured system access.
- Provide technical expertise in Oracle Financials, identifying system improvements and resolving issues.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive experience working with Oracle Financials, particularly in system configuration and process optimisation.
- Strong track record of successfully migrating financial data within Oracle environments.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and reports to extract, analyse, and present financial data.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes within Oracle, including purchase orders, approvals, and workflows.
- Experience in defining and managing Oracle roles, user access controls, and inherited privileges.
- Previous experience working within a local authority environment, understanding public sector financial regulations and reporting requirements.
