Occupational Therapist - Burton NHS (Cancer Unit)
Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a skilled Occupational Therapist to work within the Cancer Unit at Burton NHS. This is a part-time position available on Thursdays and Fridays, offering a competitive hourly rate of £27 Ltd, paid weekly via an umbrella company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize an in-depth understanding of the Occupational Therapy process within an acute cancer care setting, providing essential support to patients navigating complex medical and functional needs.
  • Independently assess, treat, and manage a varied acute inpatient caseload with a focus on admission prevention, discharge planning, and rehabilitation.
  • Implement strong clinical reasoning to make critical decisions in a high-pressure environment, ensuring patient safety and the best possible care outcomes.
  • Efficiently balance a diverse caseload from a capacity and demand perspective, adapting to the unique challenges faced by cancer patients in an acute setting.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience working in acute care settings, particularly within oncology or related fields.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with sound clinical judgment and the capability to navigate complex patient care scenarios without supervision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
