Occupational Therapist

Job Description

Occupational Therapist - £35 per hour LTD. Haringey Council.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team on an agency basis, offering a competitive pay rate of £35 Ltd per hour (£31.31 p/h PAYE inclusive). As a member of the Access and Independence Service, you will work across First Response, Reablement, and Assessment teams to support individuals with complex care and therapy needs.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users with complex needs, helping them to set person-centred goals aimed at promoting independence and wellbeing in their home environment.
  • Empower service users by providing timely information, advice, and evidence-based interventions to help maintain their independence for as long as possible.
  • Assess and provide necessary equipment to improve daily living activities, reduce injury risks, and support manual handling to reduce the need for double-handed care.
  • Manage your own caseload independently, prioritising effectively and ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Identify service users who may require Continuing Health Care due to complex health needs and refer as appropriate.
  • Identify and address safeguarding concerns, completing thorough risk assessments and following Inter-Agency Policy and Procedures for Safeguarding Adults.
  • Assess the capacity of service users to make informed decisions about their care, adhering to the Care and Mental Capacity Act.
