Network Management Technician

Job Description


Service Care Solutions is seeking a Network Management Technician on behalf of a client in Leicester.

The role involves managing the highway network to reduce congestion and ensure safe, reliable journeys for road users. The technician will support the Network Management Service, assisting the Network Coordinator and NRSWA Inspector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Information Management: Collect and provide data related to network management and related events.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Handle enquiries, information requests, and disputes with various stakeholders.
  • Coordination Support: Assist in authorizing work notifications, permit applications, and variations. Ensure non-EToN applications are recorded in the Street Works Register.
  • Inspection Support: Support network inspections and manage follow-up actions, including notices or sanctions.
  • Administration: Oversee the payment of fees, charges, and associated costs.
  • Traffic Control: Ensure effective traffic management, focusing on safety and efficiency.
  • Service Quality: Deliver high-quality, customer-focused services in line with policies and regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all information complies with EToN standards.


Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • NVQ3/BTEC in Civil Engineering, relevant A-Levels, or equivalent experience.
    • Evidence of continued learning and development.
  • Experience:
    • Engineering, particularly in highways design, management, or maintenance.
    • Project management in a commercial setting.
    • Client liaison, IT proficiency, and technical report writing.
    • Problem-solving and customer engagement.
  • Skills:
    • Good communication and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in IT, with the ability to learn service-specific software.
    • Ability to interpret maps, plans, and engineering drawings.
