A client within the Public Sector based in [County Name] is currently recruiting for a Surveying Technician to join their Property and Consultancy Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a local authority environment, specifically in property or asset management.
The Role:
Key purpose of the role is to support the Property and Consultancy Services team by maintaining and updating the Council's GIS-based Land Terrier system, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of property data.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and update the GIS-based Land Terrier system, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of property data.
- Produce complex asset/site plans that comply with industry standards and align with the Council's strategic objectives.
- Work with legal teams to enhance and clarify asset/site plans, especially for leases and compulsory purchase orders.
- Prepare land ownership plans and CAD drawings for various property-related processes.
- Provide advice on land law, including matters such as boundaries, rights of way, and ownership disputes.
The Candidate:
To be considered for this role, you will require experience with CAD software and understanding surveying methods and proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 and GIS principles.
The following skills would be beneficial for the role:
- Degree in GIS, Geography, Property Management, or a related field
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Experience with GIS-based systems for asset and property management
Rate and Application Details:
The client is offering a competitive rate of £18.37 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £15 per hour PAYE).
