Monitoring and Employment Officer
Duration: Initially 6 months
Hours: 35 hours per week
Rate: £26 umbrella an hour (£20 PAYE an hour)
Lewisham Council are looking for a Monitoring and Employment Officer to join their NEET Team to provide mentoring and employment support for young people aged 16-24 across the borough. As a Monitoring and Employment Officer you will:
- Provide a comprehensive, effective and integrated, systemically informed mentoring and employability service to support young people resident in Lewisham aged 16-24 who are not in education, employment or training
- Seek out and work with young residents who are furthest from the labour market and experiencing multiple forms of disadvantage and/or have significant additional support needs
- Adopt an empathetic and caring approach to help young people
- Provide a written monthly performance update and forecast of activity and outcomes for upcoming months
Requirements
- Awareness of and a commitment to Quality of Access and Opportunity in a diverse community
- Extensive knowledge of the current and developing national context in which Careers Information Advice and Guidance for young adults sits
- Knowledge of implementing systems to gather and accurately process data
- Previous experience within a similar role
