Service Care Solutions are recruiting a Core Qualified Mental Health Practitioner to work within an Mental Health Support Team in Derbyshire.
 
The service is a locality-led, integrated team providing effective, evidence-based mental health and emotional wellbeing support for children and young people (CYP), delivering timely services in education settings and communities.
 
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Practitioner will deliver therapeutic interventions, offer supervision, and consult with professionals and educators in a defined locality.
 
You’ll work with CYP facing mild to moderate mental health challenges, providing assessments, interventions, and support for self-management.
 
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5
 
This role is ideal for experienced professionals with a passion for improving the mental wellbeing of children and families. You’ll contribute to a supportive, multi-disciplinary team focused on improving access to mental health services across Birmingham.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic support and evidence-based interventions for children and young people.
  • Assess, plan, and implement care for children and families in educational and community settings.
  • Supervise and consult with team members and professionals.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Core professional qualification (Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Education Mental Health Practitioner, EMHP Education Mental Health Practitioner) with relevant registration.
  • Experience working with children and young people on mental health and emotional wellbeing issues.
  • Skilled in delivering interventions for anxiety, low mood, and self-management.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Car driver with use of vehicle for business purposes
