Shift Pattern: Full time | 37.5 hours.   
Pay Rate: £46ph

Please note: Manx Care will fund one return flight or ferry. Pay rate is subsidized to assist with accommodation.

Responsibilities: 
  • Developing individualized care plans based on assessment findings. These plans include goals, interventions, and strategies for supporting the patient’s recovery.
  • Administering prescribed psychiatric medications and monitoring for any side effects or adverse reactions. Mental health nurses also educate patients about their medication regimen.
  • Responding to psychiatric emergencies, such as suicidal ideation, aggression, or self-harm. Providing immediate support and de-escalation techniques to ensure patient safety.
  • Assisting with planning for a patient’s discharge by preparing them for continued care at home or in a community setting and ensuring follow-up support or referrals are in place.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Fully enhanced valid DBS
  • Must have Mental health nursing degree.   
  • A minimum of 12 months post qualification experience is desired.
  • Must be willing to live on Isle of Man for 3 – 5 months.

Rate Breakdown:
£46ph LTD | PAYE Inclusive: £40.99

We offer a £250 bonus for starting a contract with SCS.
