Are you an experienced Housing Support Worker looking for a new opportunity? Join a leading charity in Manchester (M24) and make a real impact on the lives of vulnerable adults with substance misuse issues or offending backgrounds.

THE ROLE
As a Housing Support Worker, you will provide vital support to individuals in the community, helping them to stabilise their lives and work towards independence.

  • Support individuals with housing-related issues, including tenancy management and securing accommodation
  • Engage with external agencies, including probation services and health professionals, to provide holistic support
  • Assist service users in accessing education, training, and employment opportunities
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop tailored support plans
  • Maintain regular contact with service users to monitor progress and provide guidance
  • Promote independence by assisting with life skills such as budgeting and daily living tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with contractual and organisational requirements


THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, supporting vulnerable adults within a housing or community setting.

  • Experience working with individuals with substance misuse issues and/or an offending background
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and risk assessments
  • Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in maintaining accurate records and adhering to data protection policies


THE CONTRACT

  • 40 hours per week (35 paid, 5 unpaid lunch)
  • Rota basis between 8AM - 8PM, including some weekend work
  • 3-month contract with potential temp-to-perm opportunity
  • £16.69 per hour LTD / £14.23 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
