We are seeking a highly efficient and knowledgeable Homeownership Officer to join a team based in Poplar/Stratford. This is a full-time, temporary role with an initial contract of 3 months with possibility for extension. The Homeownership Officer will deliver a responsive and customer focused homeownership management service to customers in the area. This role involves a mix of office and patch based working, and working remotely.
Requirements

  • Previous experience within a similar role in Property Management
  • Previous experience of working with homeownership properties
  • Experience working in a customer facing role delivering excellent customer service
  • Familiarity with legal framework around homeownership
  • Familiarity with service charges and ability to explain to customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Full UK Driving Licence and vehicle required

Role Expectations

  • Managing homeownership estates, including line managing scheme managers where appropriate
  • Managing as per the lease and leasehold legislation
  • Handling of service charge budgets and accounts
  • Dealing with customer queries and disputes and complaints
  • Estate inspections and ensuring health and safety compliance managed
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers, investigating complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of property-related information, including tenancy agreements, maintenance requests, tenancy renewals, and correspondence
  • Build relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external Stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with current legislation and regulations related to property management
