Do you thrive on keeping busy leaders organised, informed, and ahead of the game?
We’re looking for an accomplished Executive Assistant to provide first?class, confidential support to multiple Executive Directors working at the heart of improvement and reform for children’s services.
Why this role?
- Strategic exposure – work alongside the Executive Team, elected members and senior partners across Greater Manchester on projects that directly impact children, young people and families.
- Variety & pace – manage complex diaries, high?level correspondence, briefings, meetings and events; no two days are the same.
- Hybrid flexibility – combine home working with time in our modern North?West offices and at key stakeholder sites.
- Make a difference – your efficiency frees senior leaders to deliver better outcomes for some of the region’s most vulnerable residents.
- Acting as the gatekeeper for Executive Directors: triaging issues, drafting high?quality correspondence and deflecting the noise so they can focus on priorities.
- Orchestrating meetings end?to?end – agenda packs, MS?Teams set?up, minute?taking and action tracking.
- Coordinating cross?cutting improvement projects, collating data and chasing milestones to keep initiatives on schedule.
- Handling FOI, SAR and complaint responses, ensuring deadlines are hit and sensitive information is protected.
- Maintaining slick digital systems (M365, electronic filing, bring?forward trackers) that colleagues will thank you for.
- Representing the Directorate professionally with councillors, MPs, schools, partners and the public.
- Proven track record supporting senior leaders or elected members in a large, fast?moving organisation.
- Mastery of Microsoft?365, especially Outlook/Teams for complex diary and meeting management.
- Eagle?eye attention to detail and the judgement to handle confidential or politically sensitive matters.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills – you effortlessly turn bullet?points into polished briefings.
- Calm, self?directed and able to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
- NVQ?Level?3 (or equivalent experience) in Business?Admin is ideal; shorthand/speedwriting a bonus.
