Electrical Surveyor

Job Description

A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is currently recruiting for an Electrical Surveyor er to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to carry out visual inspections and prescribed electrical tests on electrical installations.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • examine electrical installations and carry out electrical tests to ascertain the condition of the installation.
  • identify any dangerous parts of the installation requiring immediate attention.
  • prepare reports on the condition of electrical installations, validate compliance or required recommendations to meet compliance and to attend when required any hearing to justify accordingly
  • maintain a safe system of working.
  • ensure compliance with legislative requirements in respect of the inspection of electrical installations.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require HND Building Services Engineering as a minimum requirement.

It will be essential to be in possession of the below:

  • Experience of producing Building Services Electrical Drawings.
  • clear understanding of engineering systems in buildings, their operation and energy consumption in use.
  • extensive experience in the design of Building Services In respect of Schools and Public Buildings.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £23 per hour Umbrella Ltd.
