Job Title: Disrepair Project Officer

About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Disrepair Project Offier to join a leading Housing Association in Hampshire. You’ll play a key role within the Damp, Mould & Disrepair Team, helping to manage complex legal disrepair cases, ombudsman investigations, insurance claims, and high-profile complaints from start to finish.
You’ll work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors to ensure that cases are managed effectively, that customer communication is clear and timely, and that project milestones are delivered in line with strict SLAs and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputise for the Performance & Projects Lead when required.
- Manage case scheduling, pre- and post-inspections, and ensure accurate records on the Case Management Database.
- Provide weekly case review updates to stakeholders.
- Support the Senior Surveyor in preparing inspection and housing condition reports.
- Ensure repair works (in-house and external) are raised and completed within agreed timescales.
- Collaborate with the Complaints Team on complex cases and customer resolutions.
- Act as an escalation point for all stakeholders regarding disrepair and major complaint cases.
- Represent the organisation in court hearings as required.
- Produce monthly KPI reports for the Damp, Mould & Disrepair Leadership Team.
- Line-manage the Disrepair Admin and Scheduling functions, ensuring efficient project support.
- Strong knowledge of legal disrepair processes and regulatory obligations.
- Understanding of damp, mould, and common building defects.
- Proven experience in project management and delivering service improvements.
- Experience managing operational teams and driving performance.
- Exceptional communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexible and proactive approach to project delivery and problem-solving.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
- Experience in developing and improving process efficiencies for enhanced customer outcomes.
