Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated Band 6 Health Visitor to join our team. This role involves working with families, children, and communities, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support. As a Health Visitor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, delivering public health initiatives, and supporting families through key stages of development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality health visiting services to families with children aged 0-5.
- Conduct home visits and assessments of families’ health needs.
- Provide guidance on maternal and child health, nutrition, and safety.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Promote health education and well-being within the local community.
- Offer early intervention and support for families facing challenges.
- Registered Nurse (Adult or Child) with an accredited Health Visitor qualification.
- Current NMC registration.
- Proven experience in health visiting or community nursing.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with families and multi-disciplinary teams.
- A genuine passion for improving the health and wellbeing of children and families.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage a caseload.
- Competitive hourly rate of £28 per hour.
