Service Care Solutions is proud to be assisting a local authority in recruiting a Victim and Restorative Justice Officer to support their Youth Justice Service. This vital role contributes to reducing reoffending and providing restorative justice interventions that prioritise the needs of victims and promote community confidence. Working closely with the council, we are dedicated to identifying skilled professionals who can deliver exceptional support to victims and positively impact the lives of young people.

  • Working Hours: 37 hours per week (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Pay: £18.72/hr PAYE or £25.38/hr Umbrella
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35


Role Responsibilities

  • Provide support to victims of crime, assess needs, and implement support plans.
  • Facilitate face-to-face restorative justice meetings.
  • Collaborate with case managers and attend panel meetings to provide updates on victim impact and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with the Victim's Code of Practice (2020) and deliver high-quality restorative justice services.
  • Support youth justice initiatives and intervention plans targeting reduced re-offending.


Essential Requirements

  • Qualifications: Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., Criminology, Youth Justice, Social Work). A degree and willingness to complete additional certifications like the Youth Justice Effective Practice Certificate within 12 months are advantageous.
  • Experience: Work with young offenders and victims; familiarity with youth justice services.
  • Skills: Strong communication, restorative justice facilitation, risk assessment, and report writing.
  • Driving: A valid UK driving license is preferred.
  • Compliance: Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
