Location: West London (Hybrid/Office-Based)
Contract: Temporary Contract
Rate: £29 Per Hour Umbrella LTD / £22 Per Hour PAYE 
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role: We are currently recruiting for a Technical Officer to join the Capital Delivery Team within the Economy Department of a leading London Borough Council in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support capital works projects that improve housing and infrastructure across the borough.
You’ll be responsible for providing technical and administrative support throughout the capital delivery programme, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, maintaining effective records, and supporting wider project teams in delivery of safe, sustainable, and efficient public works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day technical and administrative support for the Capital Delivery Team
  • Respond to technical enquiries and ensure statutory compliance across capital projects
  • Manage documentation, including filing, scanning, and digital records
  • Support project delivery across scoping, installation, commissioning, and handover phases
  • Assist with procurement processes and preparation of technical reports
  • Liaise with internal teams, external contractors, and public stakeholders
  • Help coordinate emergency incident response for Housing Estates
  • Use systems such as Geometra and assist in managing FRA records
  • Maintain the technical library and ensure resources are up to date
  • Support with H&S training coordination, PPE allocation, and office equipment for new starters
  • Assist with data collection for audits, surveys, and legal/statutory returns
What We’re Looking For:
  • Demonstrated experience in a technical, capital delivery, or property services role
  • Good understanding of local government processes and public sector compliance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good IT skills, including use of MS Office and housing/project databases
  • Experience handling stakeholder communications and complaint resolution
  • Flexible and collaborative team player, able to attend meetings outside normal working hours when required
Desirable:
  • Experience working with local authorities or within a housing-related capital projects team
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, CDM 2015, and party wall notices
  • Knowledge of asset management systems and contract monitoring
