Job Title: Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse - Assessments
Location: Coventry NHS
Contract Type: Part-Time (22.5 hours per week, including Wednesday mornings; other hours flexible)
Pay Rate: £26.50 per hour (paid weekly via umbrella)

About the Role:
Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse to work on assessment-based services within Coventry NHS. This agency contract offers the opportunity to work with service users in community settings, including their homes, supporting them to develop strategies that reduce frequent admissions and urgent care visits.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychosocial and risk assessments in line with operational policies.
  • Collaborate with service users to co-produce individualized care plans that facilitate admission avoidance and reduce urgent care contacts.
  • Plan and arrange follow-up interventions in collaboration with service users and other support services.
  • Act as a mental health resource, providing expertise and promoting a psychologically informed approach.
  • Build strong working relationships with other mental health teams and agencies to bridge service gaps.
  • Ensure clinical practices are evidence-based and support safe, high-quality service provision.
  • Assist in developing and delivering cost-effective, high-quality services.


Requirements:

  • Experience working in community mental health settings.
  • Understanding of crisis presentations and strategies to address them.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with service users to develop effective, tailored care plans.


Working Hours:

  • 22.5 hours per week.
  • Wednesday mornings are essential; other hours are reasonably flexible.
