Join Our Team as a Children's Residential Support Worker!


Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? Do you have experience working in a supportive, nurturing environment? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team as a Children's Residential Support Worker at our children's home in Doncaster.


Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Doncaster

About the Role:


As a Residential Support Worker, you will be providing care and support to children and young people in a safe, compassionate environment. You will help them to develop emotionally, socially, and practically, guiding them through daily activities and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to children and young people, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Support young people in daily activities, including education, social skills development, and independent living.
  • Be a positive role model and advocate for the young people in your care.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and therapists, to ensure holistic support.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children and young people (ideally in a residential setting).
  • Relevant qualifications (such as NVQ in Health and Social Care, Children and Young People, or equivalent).
  • A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package:
    • Basic wage includes an all-inclusive allowance of 8.5%, bringing the salary to £29,576 - £32,501 (equivalent to £15.33 - £16.85 per hour).
    • £41.78 per sleep-in shift (on average 4 shifts per month, totalling £167.12, approximately £2,000 annually).
    • Rota includes 2 weekends off out of 4.
    • Overtime over 37 hours paid at time and a quarter
