Residential Childcare Practitioner

Job Description

We are recruiting on behalf of a special children's organisation who ensure that all the children they support have the same opportunities as other children. They provide positive experiences and a creative curriculum so that every child can be the best they can be and achieve all their dreams. You will be helping them with daily living tasks, encouraging them to learn, and helping them to continue to do all the fun activities they love the most.

Residential Child Care Practitioner Responsibilities: - To provide care and support to pupils and families to enable all round development, progress, raise achievement, and improve their health, social development, self-esteem and confidence. - Contribute to the effective physical, social, and emotional environment for group care which provides a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which children and their families can be offered the support care and guidance they need. - To contribute to the assessment of individual needs and circumstances and in the development, provision, and review to meet these needs - To work with children and young people in areas of personal issues, group work, education attendance and achievement, health, and family conciliation work. - To support Pupil Centred Planning and transition work.

Residential Child Care Practitioner Requirements: - Experience in residential childcare with children who have educational, emotional, and behavioural needs. - Recognised behaviour management Training (or equivalent) or willingness to obtain - Experience in working with young people and/or adults with Moderate and Complex Difficulties - Available to commit to 2 sleep ins a week - Commutable to Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffs - NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care

This is a high paying vacancy at up to £32,000 per year and therefore requires an experienced candidate. This is a very progressive company that is willing to support employees progression, both in terms of qualifications and career progression.
