Location – Nottingham
Contract – Temporary (3 months, potential extension)
Hours – 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Hybrid working, 2 days in the office on average)
Salary – Equivalent to £44,711 per annum (Inside IR35)
Role Summary
We are recruiting for an experienced Rent Operations Manager to join Nottingham City Council on a temporary basis, pending a permanent recruitment campaign. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the recovery of unpaid rents within NCC Housing Services, working closely with the Head of Rents to coordinate service delivery across the Income Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee rent recovery operations, ensuring effective income management.
- Lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality performance.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve collection rates.
- Ensure compliance with Housing Benefits and Welfare benefits policies.
- Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced housing management environment.
- Experience in rents/income management at a managerial level (not just Income Officer level).
- Proven management experience in a high-pressure, customer-focused setting.
- Strong knowledge of Housing Benefits and Welfare benefits.
- Ability to lead and develop a team to achieve performance targets.
- NVQ Level 4/5 or Chartered Institute of Housing qualification (or working towards).
