Position: Band 5 or Band 6 - Registered Mental Health Nurse
Specialisation: CAMHS

Hours: 37.5 | Various shift patterns | Including nights & weekends.


Pay rates:

Band 5 £21, £25, £29 LTD

Band 6 £27, £30, £35 LTD

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Skilled in assessing mental health and risk, managing crises, and de-escalating challenging behaviours.
  • Knowledgeable in psychopharmacology and physical health monitoring for young patients.
  • Strong in active listening, clear communication with patients, families, and teams, and accurate documentation.
  • Proficient in delivering evidence-based therapies and managing challenging behaviors.
  • Competent in suicide prevention, safeguarding, and conflict resolution.
  • Capable of building trust and therapeutic relationships with young patients and their families.
  • Able to handle the emotional demands and rapidly changing situations in a high-pressure environment.


Nursing Qualifications and Requirements:

  • PMVA trained
  • BLS and ILS trained
  • Hold a PIN number as a registered mental health nurse
  • Non preceptor
  • Fully enhanced valid DBS

Pay rate:

Band 5 - Breakdown: £21ph LTD | £19.02 PAYE Inclusive | £16.97 Exclusive

Band 6 - Breakdown: £27ph LTD | £24.29 PAYE Inclusive | £21.68 Exclusive


We offer a £250 bonus for starting a contract with SCS.
