Are you an Psychologist seeking a new challenge? Do you have previous experience supporting Children?

Service Care Solutions are working with Herefordshire & Worcestershire Health Care NHS Trust to recruit a Band 8a Psychologist to support the CAMHS Team in the Worcestershire area. The successful candidate will work as part of the Therapy Service and provide support to C&YP with a range of Mental Health conditions.

The contract duration is for 3 months with the likelihood of extension. This is a part-time placement with 18.75 hours available (flexible).

Location: Worcester

Pay: £35.00 p/h LTD

Bonus: £250 Sign-Up Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children with autism, utilising a range of diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately identify needs and inform treatment planning.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualised treatment plans, ensuring they are tailored to each child's unique requirements and adjusted as necessary based on progress and feedback.
  • Provide direct psychological interventions and therapeutic support to children and their families, addressing emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges to enhance overall wellbeing and functioning.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare professionals, and social workers, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to care, facilitating the best outcomes for children and their families.
  • Offer expert consultation and training to staff and other stakeholders on issues related to autism, ensuring that all team members are informed and equipped to support children effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, ensuring all documentation meets professional and legal standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in the field of clinical psychology and autism assessment and treatment.
  • Participate in regular supervision and team meetings, contributing to the continuous improvement of services and sharing insights and strategies with colleagues.
  • Support research and evaluation initiatives by contributing to data collection, analysis, and the dissemination of findings to improve service delivery and outcomes for children with autism.

Essential Criteria:

  • HCPC registered Psychologist
  • BPS accredited degree
  • Experience in autism assessments in CYP
