A Client within the Public Sector in Stratford is Currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the public sector ideally within the Rail environment.

The propose of the role is to manage a portfolio of infrastructure projects to time, budget, scope and quality with an indicative combined annual value of up to £30 million.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of infrastructure projects to time, budget, scope and quality with an indicative combined annual value of up to £30 million.
  • Providing effective performance and development management responsibilities for assigned Assistant Project Managers and/or supporting staff with regards to appraisals, performance management, capability development and succession planning.
  • Directing the day-to-day work of assigned Assistant Project Managers and/or supporting staff.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the development of assigned projects in line with agreed plans and budgets, including: assuring the quality of all deliverables and outputs; managing project risk; supporting the review of the business case and managing and agreeing any changes / deviations in scope with the sponsor / client team; and managing the transition process of the project back to the client at completion.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Project management experience
  • Experience in a complex organisation
  • Project management leadership skills
  • Early life cycle project management experience
  • Ability to be adaptable

Desirable:

  • Rail experience
  • Depot experience
  • People Leadership
  • Interest in Net Zero and Green Agenda

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £400 - £450 per day umbrella LTD Inside IR35 to join their team.
