Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

About the Role: Our client based in Merseyside are seeking a forward-thinking Product Manager to lead the development and growth of its Supply Chain Management function. This strategic role blends software product development with industry engagement, ensuring the platform meets the evolving needs of the construction and built environment sectors.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Quantity Surveying, Buying, or Procurement, with hands-on experience in managing supply chains and a keen interest in digital transformation. You will serve as the voice of the industry, working closely with stakeholders to shape supply chain compliance tools that deliver real value.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the continuous development of the Supply Chain Management product, collaborating with development and design teams.
  • Conduct product demonstrations for clients, including Tier 1 contractors, public sector procurement bodies, and subcontractors.
  • Build strong industry relationships to gather insights, user feedback, and compliance trends.
  • Organise focus groups, client interviews, and pilot sessions to validate product direction and usability.
  • Translate user requirements into clear product specifications and collaborate with developers to deliver high-quality features.
  • Support the commercial team with product knowledge to drive adoption and growth.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation in procurement and supply chain compliance.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Background in Quantity Surveying, Buying, Procurement, or a similar commercial role within the construction or built environment sectors.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, supplier onboarding, procurement frameworks, and risk management.
  • Experience with or exposure to SaaS products, procurement software, or compliance platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex needs into practical software features.
  • Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
