Procurement Manager

Job Description

Service Care Solutions are working alongside a local authority in Leicester for a Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Location: Leicester
Working: Hybrid (1 day per week in office)
Salary: £49,764 to £52,805 (based on experience, qualifications and interview performance)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team managing procurement processes, from planning to contract execution.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
  • Oversee evaluation, negotiations, and contract management, ensuring compliance.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and internal clients to ensure value for money.
  • Lead cross-functional teams on high-value projects, ensuring delivery within scope and budget.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes and practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior procurement or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and relevant legislation.
  • Leadership experience and ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prepare detailed reports.
