Role Overview:
As a Probation Service Officer, you will play a vital role in the management and rehabilitation of individuals who have been assessed as presenting a High or Very High Risk of Harm. Working within an Approved Premises estate, you will support individuals with complex needs, ensuring they are monitored, mentored, and provided with the necessary interventions to aid their rehabilitation journey.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out assessments, risk management, and action plans.
- Engaging with service users to support their rehabilitation, addressing their complex needs.
- Managing caseloads and ensuring compliance with rehabilitation requirements.
- Collaborating with multi-agency teams to ensure effective interventions.
- Experience working in a probation or similar criminal justice setting (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage high-risk cases and maintain professional boundaries.
- Empathy and understanding of the complexities of rehabilitation and offender management.
- Competitive pay rate of £24.47 per hour.
