Job Description

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a local authority, based in the center of Wales, which is in need of a dynamic and experienced Principal Housing Solicitor to lead their housing legal team.

ROLE: Principal Housing Solicitor

LOCATION: Central Wales - role can be done fully remote

RATE: £55-£65ph

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3-6 months ongoing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle your own complex housing law caseload from start to completion.
  • Advise the Council on all aspects of housing law, including tenancy agreements, property disputes, and compliance with housing regulations.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to address housing challenges and support Council objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior solicitors and other staff members on housing law matters.

Qualifications:

  • A qualified solicitor with substantial post-qualification experience in housing law.
  • Proven track record in managing complex housing cases and leading legal teams.
  • Strong knowledge of current housing legislation and regulations.
  • Ideally someone who has worked at a senior level within a local authority housing team
