Planning Solicitor

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a local authority, based in the West Midlands, which is in need of an experienced Planning Solicitor to join their legal team on a part-time basis. In this pivotal role, you will provide comprehensive legal advice and representation on all matters related to planning law.

Role: Planning Lawyer

Salary: £40-£50ph

Location: West Midlands - remote bar the need to attend committee meetings

Duration: 6 months rolling contract - 15 to 25 hours a week

The role of a Planning Lawyer:

  • Represent the council at committee meetings
  • Handle a caseload of general planning matters - s106s, s278s and general planning advice
  • Assist officers with any administrative work that may be required from time to time

The Person:

  • A solicitor, barrister or legal executive with 3+ years of PQE in Planning Law
  • Someone who is organised and self-motivated and is prepared to contribute and improve upon the efficiency of the team
  • Someone who has experience of representing a council at committee meetings
