Placement Officer

Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Placement Officer in Kensigton and Chelsea.

The Placement Officer will Work in a small team serving 2 councils sourcing private and voluntary placements for children & young people age 0-25, in a range of settings including foster care, residential children's homes, residential family assessment centre, and Semi-Independent Living accommodation.

Pay rate - £161.29 per day / £205.05 ltd (umbrella)

Main Responsibilities

As a Placement Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • To assist the team and managers to: manage the children's placement budget; meet performance targets relating to the placement of LAC; utilising management information as required.
  • Maintain IT (Mosaic) databases and be proficient in the use of 'Word' applications.
  • Undertake quality assurance (QA) of placements (via virtual and in-person) and complete written reports to evidence QA findings of residential, fostering and semi-independent provisions and these offer value for money.
  • Take responsibility for financial management, including savings delivery; ensure placements provide value for money; and the placement is efficient use of resources.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent evidence of continuing professional development
