Job Title: Personal Assistant
Salary: £12.83 P/H PAYE (Inclusive of Holiday Pay) | £14.24 P/H LTD Umbrella
Hours: 20 Hours Per Week
Type: Temporary Ongoing
Location: Cheshire, CW1
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday | 10:00am - 14:00pm

Join our client's team as a Personal Assistant, where your skills will make a tangible impact on our Directors' ability to drive forward the vision and priorities of the Council. This role is pivotal in enhancing the outcomes achieved by the Council through effective collaboration with government, business, and public sectors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality secretarial and administrative support, including document preparation, agenda drafting, and minute-taking for multiple Directors.
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, calls, and correspondence, demonstrating discretion and integrity.
  • Strategically manage Directors' schedules, ensuring efficient coordination with the wider Executive Team.
  • Provide timely briefings and insights on key issues impacting local government in Cheshire East.
  • Organize complex travel and accommodation arrangements, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Manage and draft correspondence, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Produce sensitive and confidential documents using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Provide cover for the Executive Personal Assistant during absences.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Formal secretarial training or NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant to Directors or senior executives, ideally in a local government setting.
  • Extended experience in a senior secretarial or personal assistant role within a political or public sector environment.
  • Proficiency in office management practices, diary management, and administrative procedures.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
