Passenger Assistant

Service care Solution are currently recruiting for a Passenger Assistant in Newham

The Passenger Assistant will drive a range of vehicles for the Passenger Transport Service both within and outside the Borough

Pay rate - £13.06 PAYE / £16 Umbrella

Main Responsibilities

As a Passenger Assistant you will be responsible for:

• To drive a range of council owned vehicles including special purpose vehicles within the bounds of a PVC licence or D1 eg, Coaches, Mini-buses which may have been adapted to the needs of the disabled; or light vans from within the Council fleet

• To carry out basic vehicle checks and routine maintenance tasks

• To ensure that any passengers in the vehicle are seated in a safe and secure manner using on-board safety equipment

• To complete all necessary paperwork as required

• TO assist other employee's with related tasks

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role
• Full UK Driving Licence - with PVC or D1
• Enhanced DBS
