Description

We are seeking caring and responsible Passenger Assistants to support the safe transportation of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. This role is essential in ensuring that students are safely and comfortably transported to and from school. If you have experience working with children with disabilities and a flexible approach to work, we would love to hear from you.

  • Flexibility to work split shifts, typically from 7:30 am to 9:30 am and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • 22.5 hours per week
  • This role is paying £14.36 LTD per hour inclusive of holiday pay
  • Initial 3 month contract with the possibility of extension after that

Responsibilities

  • Safely assist children and young people with special educational needs during their transportation to and from school.
  • Ensure the well-being and comfort of all passengers throughout the journey.
  • Work closely with drivers to ensure smooth and safe transport, addressing any concerns that may arise.
  • Follow child safeguarding procedures to protect the safety and welfare of all passengers.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the transport schedule.


Requirements

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding processes.
  • A caring, patient, and responsible attitude, with a commitment to the safety and well-being of children.
  • Flexibility to work split shifts, typically from 7:30 am to 9:30 am and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
  • Passenger Assistants will be picked up and dropped off at their home address.
