Participation and Engagement Lead – Bolton Area Are you passionate about giving young people a voice and ensuring they have an active role in shaping the services that affect them? We are looking for a Participation and Engagement Lead to drive meaningful engagement and consultation with young people in the Bolton area.

Key Responsibilities: ? Lead and develop participation activities to empower young people.
? Support consultation events and provide training to staff and partner organisations.
? Manage a small budget and secure external funding for youth initiatives.
? Advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making forums.
? Organise and deliver engagement events, such as the Youth Vision Conference.
? Support and train young people to participate in recruitment and selection processes.
? Work with elected members and local leaders to promote youth participation in local democracy.

Requirements: ? A relevant professional qualification (Youth Work, Social Work, or related field) OR significant practical experience in youth advocacy, participation, or engagement.
? Knowledge of participation models and experience working with young people in decision-making settings.
? Ability to organise and evaluate events, maintain budgets, and secure external funding.
? Understanding of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation.
? Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential).
? Willingness to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
